Activities and specialisations of the Caviglioli Law Firm

The main area of activity of the Caviglioli Law Firm is Civil Law, where significant expertise and experience have been gained, particularly in litigation, involving matters such as successions, real rights, contractual liability, consumer protection, tort liability, insurance contracts, leases, debt recovery, enforcement proceedings, insolvency, and bankruptcy procedures.

In particular, Lawyer Caviglioli has specialised in tort law, often handling cases involving harmful events resulting in personal injuries, including fatalities, related to (for example) road accidents; fires and landslides; workplace accidents; medical and healthcare provider liability; sports, school, and recreational activities; and defective products.

The interest in safeguarding the safety and health of individuals arose in Solicitor Caviglioli during the preparation of his thesis in Criminal Law on 'Crimes of Negligent Disaster', focused on the tragic event that occurred in Stava di Tesero in 1985. This interest has continued throughout his professional career, where he has provided legal assistance and representation to individuals, businesses, and insurance companies in numerous cases seeking compensation for damages suffered by accident victims. He has also defended clients in criminal proceedings for negligent personal injury and manslaughter.

Within this specialisation, Lawyer Caviglioli also handles disputes related to harmful events suffered by Italian citizens abroad (so-called cross-border accidents), requiring knowledge of EU regulations and the laws of the countries where the incidents occurred. In this work, he also utilises his proficiency in English and German languages.

Solicitor Caviglioli pays special attention to the issue of accidents occurring during sports competitions, for which he is the author of the following publications:

“Notes on civil liability for damages suffered by a competitor in a ski race on a certified but defective track" in Giustiziasportiva.it 2005, n. 3

Ski races and natural hazards on the slope: can the organiser be held responsible? (according to art. 2051 of the Italian Civil Code)" in Giustiziasportiva.it, 2007, n. 1

Closed circuit car races: duties and responsibilities of the organiser (and the drivers) towards spectators" in Giustiziasportiva.it, 2009, n. 1.
